As many people know, our popular Atmosphere and Trilogy instruments use a special version of the UVI engine, which Spectrasonics originally licensed from Univers Sons. These were not based on our own in-house technology, such as SAGE (Spectrasonics Advanced Groove Engine), which Stylus RMX uses, or the STEAM Engine that Omnisphere and Trilian are based on.
Omnisphere, the successor to Atmosphere, was released on September 15, 2008. Trilian, the successor to Trilogy, was released on October 26th, 2009.
Upgrades are available for all Trilogy and Atmosphere customers at our Webstore.
